Wilcox Fountain Nearing Completion

Wilcox Fountain Dedication Ceremony
After years of planning, considerable community input and a stamp of approval by the Historic District Commission and the City Commission, the new fountain at Kellogg Park has become a reality, thanks to the Wilcox Foundation's financial support. The Wilcox Fountain is crafted of granite and cobblestone and has extensive new underground plumbing.

"We did it!" said Mayor Oliver Wolcott. "After all these years, our beautiful, new fountain is complete."

A dedication ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. The Plymouth Community Arts Council is asking youngsters between kindergarten and sixth grade to create a 2D fountain art piece and drop it off at their facility at 774 N. Sheldon by October 13 at 6:00 p.m. The art will be displayed at the dedication event and all those who submit a work of art will be entered in a drawing to win the chance to turn on the new fountain at the ceremony.
