2024 Bulk Leaf Pickup Information
Published on Oct 27, 2024 07:49
The City of Plymouth has been informed by United States Postal Service that not every postal customer received the bulk leaf mailer and brush chipping schedule due to changes at the Post Office. The City of Plymouth aims to communicate bulk leaf pickup dates in a variety of ways including mailers, orange signs in the neighborhoods, publication on the website, posts on social media, and sending out emails such as this one.
We have attached a link to the electronic version of the mailer for those who may not have received a printed copy. Print copies are available at City Hall, the Plymouth Cultural Center, and the Department of Municipal Services for those who wish to pickup a copy. If you are unable to pickup a mailer and want a hard copy please email us at [email protected] with your address and we can arrange to drop one off to you.
Fall leaf collection starts next week in Area B. Each area has two pickup dates. Please have your leaves raked to the curb by Monday at 7:00 a.m. to ensure timely pickup. See the map below or at this link for the schedule in your area.
City crews will pick up your bulk leaves from your curbside during your designated week. Access must be provided from the street. To ensure your leaves are removed quickly and safely, please follow these guidelines:
- Park cars away from leaf piles – car exhaust systems may catch leaves on fire.
- Avoid placing leaves over storm drains.
- Keep storm drains free of leaves and clear leaves frequently to prevent street flooding.
- Keep grass clippings, small branches, corn stalks, pumpkins, dirt, rocks, firewood, stumps, and root balls separate from bulk leaf piles. These items should be placed in a Kraft bag or compost can for regular compost collection.
- Keep brush chipping limbs in a separate pile away from leaves.
