Storm Update - 10:20 a.m.
Published on Aug 28, 2024 11:05

The City of Plymouth sustained substantial damage during the overnight storms. The northwest section of the City was hit hardest. Multiple power lines and trees are down. Please avoid this area as DMS crews and other contractors work to clear the area.

First responders have received multiple calls for service since the overnight hours, and are continuing to go call to call at this time. Crews have cleared most City streets at this time.

Power remains out for a majority of the City. DTE is aware of the outages. To report downed power lines, visit www.dteenergy.com or call 877-477-4747. Please stay at least 50 feet away from any downed lines.

Residents are urged to bundle tree debris neatly at the curb. Bundles and branches should be small enough for a single person to pick them up. Make sure that only tree debris is placed in the bundles. Crews will be working extended hours to clean up after last night's storm.

To make a report of storm damage to City trees located between the sidewalk and the street, please contact DMS at [email protected]. We will continue to send updates as the day progresses.
