The City of Plymouth Department of Municipal Services Snow and Ice Control Teams have been working through the night to keep the City's Major Streets clear. As of 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 23, crews have most of the main streets in the city are clear and wet again. Temperatures have dropped 11 degrees since 4:00 a.m. and the current temperature in DTP is 6 degrees with light snow and blowing snow.
Drivers should be aware that elevated surfaces like bridges, overpasses and the Central Parking Deck should all be considered icy as they re-freeze quickly. County roads around the city (Sheldon, Mill Street, Ann Arbor Road) are snow/ice covered, but were treated overnight.
As of 9:00 a.m., all major streets such as Main Street, Penniman, Ann Arbor Trail, Harvey and Starkweather have been treated and are currently wet with slush. Please drive safe, make sure you have plenty of room between the car in front of you and please Don't Crowd the Plows.
