City Road Conditions as of 5:00 a.m.
Published on Feb 18, 2022 05:19
The snow has stopped falling and Municipal Services Crews are out in force to clear all streets in the City. All major streets, including Main Street, Penniman, Ann Arbor Trail and Starkweather have been plowed and salted during the overnight hours. Those Streets are clear and have been treated with a salt and brine solution and have some slush on them.
Crews are also just starting to plow the residential side streets. The City remains under a SNOW EMERGENCY, which means no parking is allowed on the streets until after 10:00 a.m. Be aware of "black ice" under the snow pack, which means you need to plan for extra stopping distance.
Sidewalks and parking areas in the downtown area are being cleared at this time.
Just a reminder to please do not plow, push, or blow snow into the streets as this could cause a safety hazard for drivers and the property owner could be held liable in the event of an accident.
f you must go out this morning, please plan on extra time to get to your destination. Remember to please DO NOT CROWD THE PLOW. Give plow drivers plenty of room to work to clear the roads. Plows may suddenly stop or slow down.
