Published on Jan 4, 2022 19:11
The Plymouth City Commission authorized the purchase of a new Vactor Truck at its regular meeting held on Monday, January 3, 2022. A Vactor Truck is one of the most important pieces of equipment that is used by the Department of Municipal Services. It's used for several water and sewer system services including pipe cleaning, debris removal and hydro-excavation. The new model will replace the City's current truck which is nearly five years old.
The City Commission approved the first reading of an ordinance amendment relating to the Wayne County Storm Water Management and Wayne County Storm Water Control Program. The amendment changes some verbiage in the ordinance to comply with State of Michigan Department of Environment Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) requirements for the City's stormwater permit.
The City Commission also approved the appointment of two business owners to the Downtown Development Authority Board. Burger Spot and Pizza Spot owner Jack Ayoub, and Harris Conservatory of Music owner Brian Harris were appointed at Monday's meeting.
