City Road Conditions as of 5:45 a.m.
Published on Dec 27, 2021 06:10
The City Department of Municipal Services has snow and ice control teams on the road since 5:30 a.m. At this time, all roads in the city are slush and snow covered. Roads should be considered slick and caution is advised for driving this early morning. Current temperature is 33 degrees which is causing snow to be heavy and wet. We have had less than one inch of snow during the overnight hours.
Crews will be focusing their snow and ice control efforts on the City's Major Streets, such as Main Street, Farmer, Starkweather, Penniman, Harvey, and Ann Arbor Trail. Crews will be using a combination of road salt and a brine solution to pre-activate the road salt, which will cause the crews to use less salt. Remember to drive safely, buckle up and leave a little early this morning to make it to your destination on time.
